Ever considered running for office? State Representative Helen Miller of the Iowa House of Representatives will be speaking to PCWA about her career as a lawyer-legislator, from how she first got involved in politics to her typical workday both in and out of session. She will also discuss the most recent legislative session.
Representative Miller is serving her 8th term in the Iowa House of Representatives. She represents the 9th House District, which includes Fort Dodge, Badger, Clare, Duncombe, Vincent and Elkhorn Townships. She serves on the Administration and Rules, Agriculture, Economic Growth, Natural Resources and Veterans Affairs Committees. She is a graduate of Howard University (B.A. in Business Administration), Our Lady of the Lake University (M.S. in Library Science), and Georgetown University Law Center (J.D.).
This luncheon will be catered by Carmen Keith.
Please register no later than Noon on Monday, May 29, 2017.
PCWA luncheons are held the last Wednesday of every month. The cost is $15 for members, $17 for non-member lawyers and $10 for law students. ATTENDEES WILL NOT RECEIVE CLE CREDIT FOR THIS LUNCHEON.
If a PCWA member brings a non-member to a luncheon and the non-member joins, the member receives a free lunch.
